Holiday Mason Jar Covers

Christmas will be here before you know it!

If you would like the printable ad-free version of this pattern, you can find it HERE.

Did you know that we are well on our way into the holidays? Once school starts, it’s a snowball rolling downhill and there’s no way of stopping it. You’ll blink and Halloween will be over and you’re carving the turkey for Thanksgiving.

If you are like me, you love to give homemade gifts to others. It’s the ultimate “I love you”. Someone who takes the time to make you a gift thinks you are very worthy and they love you a lot.

I have been canning a ton of things this year since I got a new Cadco professional burner and can use my steam canner and pressure canner again. So, this year will be the year everyone gets homemade jelly, syrup, applesauce, hot cocoa mix, etc…

I thought up a very cute cover for the mason jars to help bring in the extra pop to the basket. These are made in cotton yarn and can be made in any color. I chose a more neutral color so I can make rustic baskets. I will be adding homemade bread, cinnamon rolls and muffins to my baskets as well.

So, let’s start with the supplies, abbreviations and gauge:

Supplies:

  •  5 mm hook
  • Cotton yam (4 weight)
  • Yarn needle
  • Quart and Pint Mason Jar

  • CH(s): Chain(s)
