Easter Market & Spring Fest Update

I feel like there isn’t enough blogs out there with how things are going in the market world so I’m going to try my hardest to keep up with letting you all know what’s going on. I know you can watch a ton of you tube videos but I am really bad at videos. I’ll work on it this year. So let’s get to it.

Easter Market

The Easter Market was CRAZY!! I run the local Easter Egg Hunt and we start that 45 minutes before the Easter Market starts. It’s a very chaotic and feral event. I LOVE IT! The Egg Hunt was over by 10:20 and we were cleaning up and I was giving my interview to the local reporter. At 10:30, one of my vendor buddies ran up to me and told me that I had a mob at my booth and I needed to come in because they were blocking the door and ready to shop. LOL. My sales for those 30 minutes before we even opened were $309.52. It was insane and amazing at the same time. It was such a confidence boost. My total sales for the day was $792.00. Just by looking at that alone, I know that most of my sales were from the families who were at the egg hunt. Here’s a break down of what I sold.

My pickles, Mabel chickens and mini octos were my best sellers. I don’t really carry a large stock of any one item except my minis so I can’t tell if anything else would be a best seller.

Spring Fest

Spring Fest was not as great as an event but that could very well be because the Easter Market wiped me out the week before. I still did pretty well though. This event was 11 am to 5 pm. It was rainy, windy, and very buggy. Ugh, the gnats were taking over! I still sold $524 worth of inventory that day. I did not make anything else the week I had in between the events so what you see is what was left over from the week before, and things I chose not to put out at the Easter Event.

My best sellers at this event was the mini octos, cats, and mini pigs. I only sold three mini octos at the Easter Market but sold seven at Spring Fest. It just goes to show, you never know what’s going to sell.

My sales for both events combines was $1,316. My booth fees were $212, yarn was $100, and square fees were $29.59. My profit after all that is taken out was $973.

I’ll update you guys next week on what I’ve been making for the Cryptid Carnival event on June 7th! You can find that event on FB:
