It’s no secret that Valentine’s Day is one of my favorite holidays. So much so that it’s also my anniversary. I love all the red and pink hearts, flowers, chocolate, etc… I just love it. In honor of my anniversary and Valentine’s Day, I am releasing a new cup cozy and mug rug pattern. HUGS & KISSES (XOXO) CUP COZY AND MUG RUG This pattern is very simple. It’s made to fit over the taller white mugs from the Dollar Tree. You can add or decrease stitches to make it the length you need as long as it’s in multiples of two. It’s a very simple pattern. Hanging Baskets… A free crochet pattern
I made a few baskets a couple weeks ago and I’ve been sitting on the pattern because I just didn’t like the way they looked. Then the end of the school year was upon us, I went to the dentist, and got a sinus infection. Life hit me hard!!! But, I finally got the time this afternoon to rework the pattern. Here’s what you will need: Bernat Maker Home Dec yarn I (5.5 mm) hook…

Mug Rugs…. a free crochet pattern
I’m not sure where I’ve been but these mug rugs are absolutely adorable. They’re basically a coaster but bigger. I’ve checked around for a pattern but nothing really caught my attention. I love the knot effect it leaves. You will need: An H hook Cotton yarn (I used I Love This Cotton in Curry) Tapestry needle Scissors Special stitches: FSC: Foundation Single Crochet. You can find out how to do the…

WIP Wednesday
A little bit of crocheting, a bit of co-op prepping and a whole lot of homeschooling…. That’s just a little bit of what’s going on in my house today. We started homeschool last Monday and are just getting into the routine and now we start co-op tomorrow. Our days are spent in the community room where both my son’s and my desk is at as well as some other stuff for my daughter. On a good day, this is what my desk looks like. I sit on the ball because it helps with my back. It’s a lot better than a chair in my opinion. You can see both schedules,…

Sunglasses Case – A free crochet pattern
I go through a pair of sunglasses every couple of years. They get thrown in my purse, in the truck, and everywhere imaginable when we go on vacation. I’ve searched for a case off and on but none of them were tall enough for my sunglasses. Then I thought I could find a crochet case but it’s been really hard, impossible really, to find one to fit my particular pair of sunglasses. You see, I have to have the sunglasses that fit over my eyeglasses and the only ones I like are the ones from Walmart. They’re a bit big but they’re really pretty and get the job done. I’ve…
