Goblin Lore of the Enchanted Forest

Meet the Goblins…

What Is a Goblin?

In the Enchanted Forest, goblins are not villains nor monsters.

They are nature-bound trickster spirits — stitched from mosslight, root tangles, and a pinch of mischief. They are tiny manifestations of wild magic, born where old trees whisper and mushrooms form fairy rings.

Unlike the darker folklore tales, these goblins are curious, chaotic-neutral woodland dwellers. They hoard shiny beads, nap in flower beds, protect forgotten treasures, and occasionally cause mild, harmless trouble.

If one chooses you, it means you carry a spark of wild magic yourself.

🌱 The Nature of Goblins

• They are deeply connected to their environment.

• They reflect the terrain they were born from.

• No two goblins are ever the same.

• They bond strongly with their chosen human caretaker.

A goblin is not adopted — it decides.

The Known Varieties

  • 🌿 Briar Goblins

Born in tangled bramble patches and thorny thickets, Briar Goblins are protective and territorial. They wear leaves and petals like armor and have a talent for finding lost things.

They are loyal, stubborn, and surprisingly gentle with those they trust.

  • 🪨 Rock Goblins

Formed where stones gather and old mountains hum with ancient energy, Rock Goblins are steady and grounding. They love collecting pebbles, crystals, and overlooked treasures.

They are quiet observers — and excellent secret-keepers.

  • 🌊 Water Goblins

Born near streams, ponds, and misty forest edges, Water Goblins are fluid in mood and playful in spirit. They are known for curiosity and wandering.

They often appear when change is coming.

  • 🍄 Feral Goblins

The wildest of them all.
Untamed. Independent. Intensely loyal once bonded.

Feral Goblins thrive in overgrown corners of the forest and are drawn to strong personalities. They may look chaotic, but they are deeply protective of their chosen home.

Handle with affection and respect.
